A Testament to Bridgewater College’s Mission Statement

About Me

In 2013 I visited my cousin for his senior year at Bridgewater College. While walking around campus, I began to fall in love with the feeling and scenery I found. Fast forward to the end of high school and I found myself unable to shake the calling I felt towards the quiet, cozy campus. I applied and was ecstatic to hear that I was accepted. I had always had an interest in science and the unknown, thus I elected to major in biochemistry. Along the way I took another love, the love of sports and broadcasting, to add a communication minor and extensive work with the athletic media relations team at BC. Professors and peers guided me along for the four years I have attended, and have produced many great works that I am extremely proud of. The high level of study at Bridgewater has afforded me additional opportunities as well, seeing an internship position in the Schulz Research Lab at Virginia Tech alongside admittance to Florida State University’s Graduate biochemistry program which I will attend in the fall of this year. Without the opportunities that were made possible through attendance at BC and the constant support of professors and classmates throughout my time I would not be where I am today. Bridgewater College is truly a special institution that produces the best that an individual has to offer when they apply themself and seek out every amenity provided thanks to the tight-knit community and upstanding standards of all university facets. I am delighted to share with you the work that has been produced after taking that idea to heart and setting the foundation of my future from Bridgewater College.
